The funeral arrangements for Zorlu Holding Chairman of the Board Ahmet Nazif Zorlu have been announced. Zorlu, who passed away at the age of 82 at the hospital where he had been receiving treatment for cancer for some time, will be laid to rest in Istanbul on Wednesday, November 4.
According to the statement made by the holding, the funeral prayer for Zorlu will be held at the Barbaros Hayreddin Pasha Mosque in Levent following the noon prayer. After the ceremony, Zorlu's remains will be interred in the family plot at Zincirlikuyu Cemetery.
The statement requested that no wreaths be sent to the funeral ceremony in accordance with Ahmet Nazif Zorlu's wishes. It was noted that those who wish to send wreaths may instead make a donation to a non-governmental organization of their choice.
In the statement announcing the news of Zorlu's death, Zorlu Holding had stated, "We are deeply saddened by the loss of our Chairman of the Board, Ahmet Zorlu, today at the hospital where he had been receiving treatment for some time."
