The MIT Chief should also meet with İmamoğlu

In the process referred to as a "Turkey without terrorism," it is simply not appropriate for the head of the MIT (National Intelligence Organization) to meet with the leader of the main opposition party, the CHP.

In normal democratic countries, discussions on important issues between the government and the main opposition are held between the head of the executive branch and the leader of the main opposition party. If necessary, relevant ministers and bureaucrats join the delegation to discuss the details of the matter. If Turkey were a democratic country, President Erdoğan, as the head of the executive, would take the MIT Chief with him, visit the leader of the main opposition party, and share classified information and documents that are not suitable for public debate.

The article written yesterday by Doğru Party Chairman Rifat Serdaroğlu highlights the importance of this issue and provides guidance. I am summarizing from Serdaroğlu's article titled "A civil servant in the Veteran Parliament":

"The corridor of the CHP Group in the TBMM (Grand National Assembly of Turkey)! CHP Chairman Özgür Özel is waiting for his guest with great seriousness! A moment later, MIT Chief İbrahim Kalın and his bodyguards arrive. Mr. Özgür welcomes his guest at the door by shaking his hand, poses are taken for the press, the two enter the room, and the doors close! Doesn't this meeting have an aspect that offends you?

If you know how the Turkish State functions, and if you carry the title of Statesman and Chairman with the dignity it deserves, you would be very uncomfortable. Let's explain it in layman's terms! Mr. Özgür, you are the Chairman of the Main Opposition Party, which received 15 million votes in the last elections at the 'Provincial General Assembly' level. You are an elected person; you carry the trust of the Turkish Nation. You could be the one managing the country tomorrow. Who is your guest? A civil servant appointed according to Law No. 2937, reporting to the Presidency! Mr. Özgür, in your position, you cannot welcome that civil servant at the door while standing. If you do; you lower your position, the votes you received, your personality, the masses you represent, and the traditions of our state below the status held by that civil servant. Your counterpart in this matter is President and AKP Chairman Erdoğan. A civil servant appointed by him cannot be your counterpart...

A CHP Administrative Officer of the TBMM Group should have welcomed him and brought your guest to your office! If you think, 'Are these things you say really that important, Serdaroğlu?' Yes, it is very important. The written and unwritten rules of our Turkish State have been obtained through the distillation of gains and experiences acquired over the years. No one can change them. If everyone who comes along tries to change them as they see fit, this lawlessness will become a habit, and it will end badly... (Remember the 'İncili Kaftan') Özgür Özel is a young person! Who wouldn't want a politician like him to be successful? We would also want İmamoğlu to be successful, and others as well! But if you do politics, especially in this geography, and especially in such an environment in the world, without thinking, without consulting, and especially by consulting the wrong people, you will hit a wall!

Now they will make you commit the biggest mistake. They will make you sit at the same table as Erdoğan-Bahçeli-Öcalan-Hizbullah! They will make you a partner in the destruction prepared by the USA and Israel. This is where you need to display the national stance that existed in Atatürk. You must not fall into the trap of either the commission or the new Constitution. Election, election, by all means, an immediate election!

CALL FOR FREEDOM FOR MAYORS FROM MHP, DEM, AND PKK

Let us make a reminder regarding Serdaroğlu's warning: "They will make you commit the biggest mistake." First, a deputy chairman from Bahçeli's party, then Tuncer Bakırhan from the DEM Party, and finally KCK Co-Chair Cemil Bayık called for the release of the imprisoned CHP mayors and their associates so that the CHP could participate in the process. We will see what happens.

We do not know what the MIT Chief and the CHP discussed. In addition to this great humiliation and error in terms of procedure, there is another issue. We have no information about the meetings. I hope that no negotiations took place between the CHP Chairman and the MIT Chief, and that not even a question was asked. I hope they were content with just listening. If they have questions, they should ask those questions to the President, not the MIT Chief...

Take it as a joke or take it seriously... Since things have gone off the rails, the MIT Chief should also meet with Ekrem İmamoğlu, whom the CHP has declared as its Presidential Candidate, in Silivri.

THERE CAN BE NO MEETING WHILE THAT STATEMENT EXISTS

The stance we have taken from the beginning regarding the process called a "Turkey without terrorism" is clear. To silence those who are ignorant and would twist words, let us first state this: I condemn everyone who supports terrorism, feeds on terrorism, and engages in all kinds of trade—especially human, drug, weapon, and oil trafficking—through terrorism, and I curse them all.

Let us not forget the expressions in the PKK's dissolution declaration that legitimize terrorism and accuse the Republic of Turkey of genocide. The expression in the PKK's dissolution declaration is exactly as follows:

"Our party, the PKK, emerged on the stage of history as the freedom movement of our people against the policy of denial and annihilation of Kurds, which draws its source from the Treaty of Lausanne and the 1924 Constitution."

The source and title deed of the nation-state structure of the Republic of Turkey is the Treaty of Lausanne, which has the victory of the War of Independence behind it. Saying "let a commission be established" while this statement by the PKK stands is being a partner in treason. Saying "we have certain conditions to participate in the commission" while this statement stands is also being a partner in treason. What is intended is to make the founding party, the CHP, a partner in this destruction process. Even if you say, "No, we will explain our views, no, we will oppose" in a commission where you are not in the majority, by participating in that commission, you legitimize the destruction project. You can explain your views on another platform. You can explain your views in the General Assembly of the Parliament without participating in the commission and ensure they are recorded in the minutes.
