MSG: 'We must celebrate and protect the Republic'
The Musical Work Owners Group Professional Association (MSG) has requested in a written statement that concerts and events not be canceled during the 100th anniversary of the Republic. MSG stated, "We must celebrate and protect our 100th anniversary to the fullest without canceling any events."
The Musical Work Owners Group Professional Association (MSG) has emphasized that the 100th anniversary of the Republic should be celebrated with enthusiasm throughout the country.
The following was noted in the written statement issued by MSG:
"In these days when we are celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey, which has adopted the principle of 'Peace at home, peace in the world,' what is happening all around us deeply wounds and shakes us all. However, precisely for this reason, we know the value of having established a strong, independent, and secular Republic as part of both Europe and Asia, and we believe that celebrating our 100th anniversary with pride and enthusiasm is of great importance. We also believe that the 100th-anniversary celebration is a beacon of hope for all countries fighting for independence."
"Although it is often mistakenly thought in our country that music is merely a tool for entertainment, it should be known that music is not only one of the most important building blocks of a nation's cultural heritage and unity, but it is also the sole source of livelihood for thousands of music workers. And again, music is one of the unique tools through which we can share sorrows, happiness, life, and losses at the same time, despite our differences."
"Celebrating and protecting our 100th anniversary to the fullest without canceling any events is a debt we owe to our founders and to everyone who has protected our Republic at the cost of their lives."
