1 dead, 4 injured in explosion at thermal power plant in Iran
One person was killed and four others were injured in an explosion at the Parand Thermal Power Plant in the Robat Karim district of the capital, Tehran, in Iran.
According to Iran's official news agency IRNA, Robat Karim District Governor Omid Ahmadi provided information regarding the incident.
Ahmadi stated, "The explosion occurred due to a problem in the line supplying natural gas to the turbine. 1 person died and 4 people were injured."

Electricity is generated from natural gas at the Parand Thermal Power Plant, located southwest of the capital, Tehran.
