2 employees arrested at pastry shop where harassment incident occurred
In Pendik, 2 people who allegedly harassed a woman by sending her messages after delivering an order to her home and then assaulted the woman's husband have been arrested.
On September 3, around 16:00, on Ertuğrul Gazi Street in Pendik, an employee of Sarıyer Börekçisi named I.D. sent a text message to a young woman at a home after delivering her order, asking to be friends.
Upon learning of the situation, the woman's husband, U.B., raided the business. In the ensuing fight between U.B. and the employees, U.B. injured the employee I.D.
With the involvement of another employee, Ö.D., the individual named U.B. was also injured.
TWO SUSPECTS ARRESTED
Following the incident, Ö.D. and I.D. were taken into custody. After the investigation procedures, the individuals were referred to the courthouse. The two suspects, who gave their statements to the prosecutor's office, were referred to the Criminal Court of Peace with a request for arrest. The court decided to arrest I.D. on charges of 'sexual harassment' and Ö.D. on charges of 'simple assault'.
