2 more detained in Minguzzi murder
Two juvenile suspects sought in the investigation into the murder of Ahmet Minguzzi have been taken into custody.
In the incident that occurred at the historic Tuesday market in Kadıköy on January 24 at approximately 08:25, Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi was stabbed five times by B.B. while he was shopping at the market.
The other suspect, U.B., kicked Minguzzi. Minguzzi lost his life in the hospital where he had been receiving treatment for 15 days.
A lawsuit was filed against the juvenile suspects B.B. and U.B., seeking 18 to 24 years in prison each for the crime of 'intentional killing of a child'.
The Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office sent a detention order to police units for the apprehension of 2 individuals identified in an expert report regarding the footage of the moment Minguzzi was stabbed to death, who were determined to have been at the scene with the detained defendants B.B. and U.B.
SUSPECTS APPREHENDED
The 2 suspects, whose identities were determined, were apprehended today by teams from the Public Security Branch Office's Homicide Bureau. The suspects, who are under 18 years of age, were taken to the Kadıköy Juvenile Bureau.
