3 soldiers killed after US military helicopter crashes on Mexican border
Three soldiers lost their lives and one was injured after a US military helicopter crashed on the Mexican border.
The US Joint Task Force North announced that a "UH-72 Lakota" model helicopter crashed near Rio Grande City in the state of Texas yesterday during a border security mission.
The statement noted that 2 National Guard members and 1 border patrol agent lost their lives, and that an investigation has been launched into the cause of the accident in which 1 soldier was injured.
Starr County Judge Eloy Vera, where Rio Grande City is located, noted that the injured soldier is in critical condition.
