Admission of 'lack of merit' from AKP member during Bursa Municipal Council debate: Where will people work?
The debate over layoffs at the Bursa Municipal Council has come to the fore with admissions of 'lack of merit' from AKP members.
In the local elections, Bursa Municipality, which had long been under AKP administration, changed hands and passed to the CHP. Following the change in administration, layoffs occurred at the municipality, and the issue was brought to the municipal council's agenda.
The dialogue that took place while AKP members were criticizing the layoffs made at the municipality revealed the lack of merit in hiring practices during the AKP era.

Taking the floor at the Bursa Municipal Council meeting, an AKP member reacted by saying, "You fired 2,000 workers." A CHP member who reacted to this outburst stated, "Your cousin is still working at the municipality. We are not firing anyone."
During this debate, another AKP member who took the floor revealed the lack of merit that occurred during their own administration with the statement they made.
The AKP member used the following expressions:
"My brother also works at the municipality. Can't he work? Where will people work?"
