Ahbap Association's regular donors complain about the same issue: 'We cannot find anyone to talk to'

Following the investigation conducted into the Ahbap Association, some donors stated that they want to terminate their automatic payment instructions and request a refund for their previous donations.

As reported by T24, some citizens sharing their experiences on the platform Şikayetvar noted that they have been unable to reach the association for cancellation procedures and have not received any response to their requests.

"AUTOMATIC WITHDRAWALS CONTINUE FROM MY CARD EVERY MONTH"

One donor noted that they have been making regular donations for a long time but now want to cancel their automatic payment instruction, yet they have not been able to get results through communication channels.

In their post on Şikayetvar, they included the following statements:

"I have been making regular donations through Ahbap for a long time; for about 1–2 years, I have been making a payment of 500 TL every month. I now want to cancel this regular donation, but I cannot reach the institution in any way.

When I call their phone numbers, the calls are not answered, and when I send an email, I do not receive any response. For this reason, I cannot cancel my donation, and I am experiencing grievances because automatic withdrawals continue to be made from my card every month.

I demand that my regular donation be canceled as soon as possible, that the automatic payment instruction be removed from my card, and that I be provided with written information regarding the cancellation process."

"I COULD NOT ACCESS A CANCELLATION OPTION OR A CONTACT PERSON"

Another donor stated that they wanted to stop their regular donation payments starting from July and that they had contacted both the association and their bank for this purpose, but the issue could not be resolved.

In their post on Şikayetvar, they used the following expressions:

"For a long time, payments have been regularly withdrawn from my credit card every month on behalf of the Ahbap Association. Although the 250 TL withdrawal made in June was done with my consent, I want these withdrawals to be stopped as of July.

I wanted to cancel this regular payment by reaching out to the Ahbap side both through communication channels and their website, but I could not access any cancellation option or a contact person. My bank stated that they could only stop this regular withdrawal if I completely changed my credit card and that they could not offer any other solution.

I demand that the 250 TL withdrawal planned from July onwards, excluding the 250 TL taken in June, and subsequent collections be canceled, that no transactions like regular payment instructions be made from my card without my permission, and that I be informed in writing on this matter."
