Arguing that these individuals gained trust by appearing close to AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, settled into important state positions, and used these positions for their own interests, Savcı Sayan stated, "Yesterday FETÖ, today the same mentality, the same game, the same betrayal."
Also giving a message of support to President Erdoğan, the AKP member Sayan stated that true friends are not those who surround a leader to gain positions and wealth. Arguing that he and like-minded individuals act with love for the homeland, nation, and state, Sayan said, "Our path is not a path of interest, but a path of loyalty. Our cause is not a cause for seats, but a cause for the country."
Addressing Erdoğan with an "urgent" note at the end of his statement, Savcı Sayan claimed that a group that does not want the fund investigation to be resolved is deliberately prolonging the process, aiming to prevent the return of money and obscure evidence in this way.
Demanding that the losses of the victims be fully compensated, Sayan said, "The solution is clear: Whoever took the money, let it be taken from them and distributed to the fund victims down to the last penny. Mr. President, the victims are waiting for an urgent solution from you."
