Barrack is pulling all the stops: Now he's meddling in ecumenism

US Ambassador Tom Barrack's use of the title "Ecumenical" in a statement addressing Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew has drawn attention. Because this title is not recognized in the Constitution of the Republic of Turkey or the Treaty of Lausanne, the expression has become a subject of debate in diplomatic circles.

According to information obtained, Bartholomew will travel to the US in the coming days to meet with former President Donald Trump. It was learned that the recent contact made in this context was a preliminary meeting in preparation for the visit.

The visit plan, which is also notable in terms of diplomatic protocol, has raised questions in some circles in Turkey, such as: "Could the mufti of the Fatih district or the elected Turkish mufti of Western Thrace go to the US and meet with Trump?"

THIS IS NOT HIS FIRST SCANDAL!

The 'Ecumenical' remark made by US Ambassador Tom Barrack is not his first scandal. In a statement made in recent months, Barrack praised the Ottoman Empire and claimed that the most suitable system for Turkey would be the 'Ottoman Millet System.' This comment by Barrack had drawn significant backlash.
