Breaking News: 5.2 magnitude earthquake strikes Van
It has been reported that a 5.2 magnitude earthquake occurred in the Tuşba district of Van. The tremor was also felt in Ağrı, Bitlis, Iğdır, and Hakkari.
A 5.2 magnitude earthquake occurred in Van at 08:52. The epicenter of the earthquake was reported to be Tuşba.

AFAD announced that the tremor was recorded at a depth of 7 kilometers.

In a statement made by AFAD following the earthquake, it was stated, "Following the 5.2 magnitude earthquake that occurred in the Tuşba district of our Van province at 08:52 and was also felt in our provinces of Van, Ağrı, Bitlis, Iğdır, and Hakkari, there are currently no negative reports. Field scanning operations are ongoing. We extend our best wishes to our affected citizens."
MUSTAFA ÇİFTÇİ: NO LOSS OF LIFE OR NEGATIVE INCIDENTS
Minister of Interior Mustafa Çiftçi reported that there was no loss of life or any negative situation.
Minister Çiftçi's statement is as follows:
"A 5.2 magnitude earthquake has occurred in the Tuşba district of our Van province.
Regarding the earthquake, which was also felt in the provinces of Ağrı, Hakkari, Iğdır, and Bitlis, field scanning operations by AFAD, the Gendarmerie, the Police, and our other authorized personnel are continuing.
As a result of the evaluation of reports received by the 112 Emergency Call Center so far, there is no loss of life or negative situation.
I extend my best wishes to our citizens affected by the earthquake.
May God protect our country and our nation from disasters."
