Tense moments occurred on the Sözcü TV program 'Sözcü Masası', hosted by Simge Fıstıkoğlu.

Tensions rose between the program's guests, economist Selçuk Geçer and Tavır Gazetesi columnist Can Özçelik.

Although moderator Simge Fıstıkoğlu attempted to intervene as the argument between the two continued, the tension did not subside.

After Selçuk Geçer said, "Brother, don't be insolent," Can Özçelik replied, "Let's not talk by calling each other 'brother'."

Selçuk Geçer then snapped, "Get up and leave," and Can Özçelik left the broadcast, saying, "You are very disrespectful."

As the argument continued, Can Özçelik's words, "Moron, idiot," were heard on the live broadcast as he left the studio.

HOW DID THE ARGUMENT START?

The discussion on the program regarding parliamentary salaries, the "double salary" rights of retired deputies, and TBMM expenditures formed the basis of the crisis in the studio. The disagreement between Özçelik and Geçer over how the topic should be interpreted quickly gave way to mutual criticisms of each other's tone.

The tension, which was felt from the very first moments of the broadcast, escalated when Can Özçelik said to Selçuk Geçer, "I do not agree with your opinions." Following these words, voices were raised, and moderator Simge Fıstıkoğlu's attempts to intervene and calm the pair were unsuccessful.
