Breaking News... Kaşif Kozinoğlu investigation: Decision regarding Hasan Atilla Uğur and Hasan Ataman Yıldırım!
In the investigation into the death of Kaşif Kozinoğlu at Silivri Prison in 2011, a house arrest decision has been issued for Hasan Atilla Uğur and Hasan Ataman Yıldırım. The Silivri Chief Public Prosecutor at the time, Ali İşgören, and prison prosecutor Necip Doğan have been referred to the judgeship with a request for arrest on charges of "membership in a criminal organization."
A new development has occurred in the investigation into the death of former MİT official Kaşif Kozinoğlu in Silivri Prison in 2011.
As part of the investigation, judicial control measures in the form of house arrest were applied to retired Gendarmerie Colonel Hasan Atilla Uğur and retired Naval Captain Hasan Ataman Yıldırım.
Ali İşgören, who served as the Silivri Chief Public Prosecutor at the time of the incident, and prison prosecutor Necip Doğan were referred to the Criminal Judgeship of Peace with a request for arrest on charges of "membership in a criminal organization." It was reported that judicial proceedings regarding the two individuals are ongoing.
Making a statement after his proceedings at the Silivri Courthouse, Hasan Atilla said the following:
"I came here and gave my statement to our Public Prosecutor's Office following the reopening of the investigation into the suspicious death in 2011 in prison of Kaşif Kozinoğlu, who was a late hero, one of the greatest heroes raised by Turkey, my bunkmate and comrade-in-arms, with whom I also fought against terrorism when we were both lieutenants. Later, I was referred to the judgeship and have now been released with a house arrest decision. I am a retired Turkish officer who has written books and spoken on television programs, sincerely desiring for this investigation to be concluded in the most serious manner. I know that this will reach a conclusion as soon as possible. Of course, being here as a suspect in this investigation caused me to feel shame. I am saddened by this, but I find the emergence of the results of this investigation very valuable in terms of understanding the truth in the very near future and determining that the Fethullahist structure was and still is engaged in certain activities during that period and this period."
WHAT HAD HAPPENED?
Previously, 4 people had been arrested and judicial control measures had been applied to 13 people in the file regarding Kozinoğlu's death. In line with the request of the Silivri Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, an exhumation process was also carried out to determine the exact cause of death and whether there was any intervention by third parties.
Within the scope of the investigation, the screenwriters of the series "Kurtlar Vadisi Pusu," Raci Şaşmaz, Bahadır Özdener, and Cüneyt Aysan, also gave statements to the prosecutor's office as "persons with knowledge," and the chief prosecutor's office announced that it had been decided to examine the series.
