Dervişoğlu announces the decision rising from the heart of the Turkish nation: 'We will not allow this betrayal'

Following the issuance of the arrest warrant for Özdağ, İYİ Party Chairman Dervişoğlu appeared before the press and made the following statement:

My dear nation, let it not be forgotten that all these events we are experiencing are parts of a whole, and I define this as an uprising against the nation. My call is to those who have lost all sense of shame and think they can solve terrorism in Turkey by talking to a baby killer.

We see that the transfer of members of parliament, the threatening of my person by known circles, and the fact that the authorities who should take action against this bury their heads in the sand, are all part of the indispensability of these apparatuses to the government and its partners, regardless of the terrorist organization.

Condemning our nation to poverty to create a silent and fearful Turkey are the planned stages of this great uprising. We may all be detained through investigations opened by the government's judiciary because we resist this uprising of betrayal. It should be known that we are not afraid and we will do whatever is necessary!

We see that they are in a panic over the crimes they have committed against the Turkish nation; it is clear they are in a hurry, and they are doing everything in their power to neutralize all political parties that will stand in their way on this path...

And I say, let them do their worst; let them be sure that there are millions in this country today who have sworn on the flag and the Quran and who have risked everything for the Turkish nation, and they are ready.

The paths and methods they follow clearly show that they are students of FETÖ; yesterday, they collapsed and entrenched themselves in the judiciary and the army step by step using these same methods.

"I AM ANNOUNCING THIS DECISION"

We will continue to defend the Republic and its principles to the end; we will say 'Turkish nation' against the order of slavery. Whatever they do is in vain because for them, everything is over. There is certainly a decision that comes from the heavens, but the decision rising from the heart of the Turkish nation is also clear.

I am announcing this decision: we will not allow this betrayal. This herd of insolent people wants to make us all slaves with an iron fist over Turkey. The goal is clear: step-by-step federation, lifelong presidency!

That is why they want to remove obstacles at all costs; this is why they use the judiciary, and this is why they want to expel the lieutenants from the army...

They are arresting Mr. Ümit Özdağ, and the reason is as clear as day: to reduce the power of the opposition, to eliminate effective opposition, and to set their booby traps in motion according to their planned calendars for the construction of a 'Cumhur' (People's) state in place of the Turkish state.

They are pathetic, they are wretched, and they have fallen!

They are not satisfied with the Partisan Presidency; they want to be the president of their own party. They are trying to destroy Turkish politics before the eyes of our nation.

In Turkish history, those who rely on illegitimacy have not survived. To get rid of this state of madness as soon as possible, I repeat my call:

Today is not a day to surrender, but a day to fight. Let everyone hear our voice: We will not de-Turkify Turkey, we will not let the Republic of Turkey be destroyed.
