Erdoğan's August 30 Victory Day message: Emphasis on 'Century of Türkiye'

AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan released a message on the 104th anniversary of the August 30 Victory Day. In his message, Erdoğan addressed the role of the August 30 Victory in the process leading to the founding of the Republic, while also making assessments regarding Türkiye's current policies and delivering a message of unity.

104TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE VICTORY

Commemorating the 104th anniversary of the Great Victory, which went down in history as the "Commander-in-Chief Battle," Erdoğan included the following statements in his message:

“With the August 30 Victory, it was once again registered that the lands we have lived on freely for a thousand years are our eternal homeland. The Great Victory, which also paved the way for the founding of our Republic, declared to the entire world that our nation would never accept captivity, while also serving as the catalyst for breaking the imperialist siege on our geography.

The perseverance, courage, and determination we displayed as a nation 104 years ago, despite all kinds of impossibilities, remain our strongest source of motivation today. Inspired by its glorious history and self-confidence, Türkiye is advancing with firm steps toward its goals with the success stories it has written in every field, from energy to the defense industry, and from science and technology to foreign policy. In a period where wars, conflicts, crises, and political uncertainties are increasing in the world, especially in our region, Türkiye stands out with its principled, resilient, and entrepreneurial policies that place human values at the center.

Today, there is a Türkiye that strives to stand against oppression regardless of who it comes from, to protect the oppressed regardless of who they are, and that does not hesitate to pay the price when necessary for this cause. As long as the blue sky above does not collapse and the dark earth below does not split, no one will be able to make Türkiye and the Turkish Nation abandon their sacred struggle. Despite all the provocations and incitements of those who feed on instability, we will continue to stand on the side of right, law, justice, peace, and stability as a state and a nation.

Just as it was 104 years ago, I thank all my fellow citizens who are contributing to the construction of the Century of Türkiye in unity and solidarity today. On this occasion, I commemorate the Commander-in-Chief of the Great Victory, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, and his comrades-in-arms with gratitude; I pray for God's mercy upon our martyrs, whom we see as the eternal guardians of our independence, and I remember our veterans with appreciation.
