Fatih Altaylı speaks on black market allegations: 'I have Dursun Özbek's statement'
In his statement regarding the black market ticket allegations at Galatasaray, Fatih Altaylı stated that President Dursun Özbek did not apply to the prosecutor's office regarding corruption, but rather on charges of slander. Altaylı said, "He is not saying 'investigate the corruption,' he is saying 'punish the slanderers.'"
Journalist Fatih Altaylı made significant remarks on his personal YouTube channel regarding the black market ticket sale allegations directed at Galatasaray Sports Club.
Speaking about the statement President Dursun Özbek gave to the prosecutor's office, Altaylı stated that the prosecutor's office is not investigating the corruption allegations, and that Özbek filed a criminal complaint to have the slanderers caught.
Altaylı used the following expressions: "Mr. Dursun said he went to the prosecutor's office and filed a criminal complaint. But there is no complaint regarding corruption. He wants the slander cast upon Galatasaray to be punished. He is not saying 'investigate the corruption allegations,' he is saying 'find the slanderers.'"
'I HAVE DURSUN ÖZBEK'S STATEMENT'
Touching upon the prosecutor's statement, Altaylı reacted to the process by saying, "I have Mr. Dursun's prosecutor's statement in my possession. He says the same thing there; he is not saying 'investigate the corruption allegations.' He says, 'Find those who make baseless news about us.'"
I AM NOT RESIGNING
Continuing his remarks, Altaylı stated that he had considered resigning from Galatasaray Sports Club but has postponed this thought. He said, "I was saying I would resign, but out of spite, I am not. I have the right to bring these issues to the agenda within the club and file the necessary criminal complaints. If these are not clarified, then I will resign."
BLACK MARKET EXISTS IN MANY CLUBS
Finally, stating that black market ticket sales exist not only at Galatasaray but at many clubs, Altaylı said, "Similar structures exist in other clubs as well. But what bothers me most is that this money goes into the pockets of certain individuals. I think the Banks Association should investigate this situation. If this money is being paid to individuals or clubs under the table, it means they are acting in violation of the contract."
