The TRNC Prime Ministry announced that another body has been recovered during the ongoing search operations for the passenger ship that sank off the coast of Kyrenia. DNA testing has been initiated for the individual, whose identity has not yet been determined.
DEATH TOLL RISES TO 20
It was reported that search and rescue activities in the region are continuing without interruption following the accident. The TRNC Prime Ministry stated that all state resources have been mobilized to locate the missing persons.
In the Prime Ministry's statement, it was noted, "Search efforts will continue with the same determination until all of our missing persons are located, and all of our state's resources will continue to be mobilized. We once again wish God's mercy upon those who lost their lives in the accident, and patience and fortitude to their families and loved ones."
With the latest body found, the number of people who lost their lives in the accident has risen to 20. Search efforts are ongoing to reach the 8 people reported missing on the ship.
