Fire panic in a 6-story building in Avcılar
A fire that broke out in the attic of a 6-story apartment building in Istanbul's Avcılar district was brought under control by the rapid intervention of fire crews. Neighbors were the first to notice the fire. While there were no casualties, residents were unable to enter their homes.
According to the information obtained, a fire broke out in an attic apartment of a 6-story building in the Merkez neighborhood of Avcılar district around 9:30 PM. Neighbors who noticed the fire due to the smell reported the situation to the fire department. Fire crews arrived at the scene in a short time and intervened to prevent the fire from spreading. The flames were brought under control and extinguished in a short time through the efforts of the teams.
Stating that the neighbors reported the fire, apartment resident Serkan Şahin said, "I looked and saw flames rising. We notified the fire department. The owner rented it out, but I saw them a few times; they might be foreigners. We got the news from downstairs. I went outside, and it was covered in smoke. Now we won't be able to enter our home either."
