Foreign Minister Fidan shares post regarding TRNC elections
Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan shared a post regarding the upcoming Presidential elections to be held in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
In his post, Foreign Minister Fidan stated, "I wish for the Presidential elections to be held in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to be auspicious for the Turkish Cypriot people and the entire Island.
We are confident that the elections will once again demonstrate the state tradition and democratic culture in the TRNC," he said.
In his post, where he emphasized that Turkey stands with the Turkish Cypriot people, Minister Fidan included the following remarks: "As the motherland and guarantor, Turkey will continue to be the advocate of the Turkish Cypriot people's rightful cause and will continue to emphasize in the strongest terms on every platform that the only realistic solution to the Cyprus issue lies in the acceptance of the existence of two separate states on the Island."
