Alper Ç., who works as the private driver and bodyguard for social media influencer Dilan Polat, was injured as a result of an armed attack in front of a hospital in Istanbul. Dilan Polat, who was receiving treatment at the hospital at the time, announced the attack on her social media account.

POLAT: “THEY THREATENED ME TOO”

Making a statement immediately after the incident, Dilan Polat stated that she had also been threatened. Emphasizing that her driver was targeted in front of the hospital, Polat said, “He was shot with three bullets. The same threats are being directed at me as well.”

While the person who carried out the armed attack fled the scene, police teams have launched an operation to apprehend the assailant. Efforts are underway to identify the attacker based on security camera footage and witness statements.

A MESSAGE CLAIMING RESPONSIBILITY WAS RECEIVED

According to NTV, a striking post was made on social media following the attack from an account alleged to be linked to the Daltonlar gang. The post included the words, "We didn't fire three, we fired seven bullets." This message raised the possibility that the attack could be linked to an organized structure.

The investigation into the incident is being conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. Whether there is a connection to an organized crime group behind the attack is also being investigated.

The incident took place in front of a private hospital located on Tevfik İleri Street in the Yamanevler neighborhood.

An assailant, who allegedly waited in front of the hospital where Dilan Polat was receiving treatment throughout the day, followed Dilan Polat's bodyguard, Alper Ç.

The suspect, who kept bodyguard Alper Ç. occupied on the phone for a while, fired 7 shots as Alper Ç. was about to get into his car and then fled.

The injured bodyguard was taken under treatment at the Ümraniye Training and Research Hospital. An investigation into the incident has been launched by the Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
