One of the individuals detained in the operation conducted against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) on March 19 was Murat Ongun, Chairman of the Board of Directors of İBB Medya AŞ.

A striking claim has emerged regarding the chief inspector who carried out the detention of Ongun, who was among the central figures of the operation.

According to a report by journalist and 12punto columnist Müyesser Yıldız, a total of 61 active-duty soldiers, including the chief inspector who detained Ongun, were arrested as part of an investigation into FETÖ's payphone network structure.

BYLOCK, CATALOG MARRIAGE, AND NEWBORN GANG ALLEGATIONS

According to information from behind the scenes, it is alleged that the arrested chief inspector was not only a user of ByLock, FETÖ's encrypted communication network, but also entered into a "catalog marriage," which is the organization's internal marriage system.

It is also stated that the chief inspector's name has appeared in the "Newborn Gang" investigation, which is alleged to have links to organized crime groups.

As part of the March 19 operation, detention procedures were carried out against numerous municipal personnel and executives, including İBB Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu.

Murat Ongun had stood out as the "number two name" of the operation during this process.
