Sadettin Saran summoned for testimony, Cem Küçük points to what comes next! ‘There is another big name…’

The drug investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office continues to remain on the agenda.

The investigation, which was initially launched in October targeting famous singers and actors, later extended to the media world. Habertürk TV Editor-in-Chief Mehmet Akif Ersoy, who was detained in recent days, was arrested and sent to prison on December 11. Ersoy's employment at Habertürk was terminated after he was detained.

Broadcaster Ela Rümeysa Cebeci, who was detained and released on December 5 as part of the investigation, was summoned for questioning after her drug test returned positive. Cebeci was arrested after her statement was taken.

As the investigation continued, Fenerbahçe Sports Club President Sadettin Saran was also summoned to testify as a suspect. It was learned that a search was conducted at the home of Saran, who was abroad to watch the Olimpia Milano-Fenerbahçe Beko match.

In his first statement, Saran stated that he would return to Turkey on Saturday morning and said, "I have nothing to fear."

Saran, who landed at the Atatürk Airport General Aviation Terminal by private jet in the early hours of the morning, was welcomed by a large number of Fenerbahçe fans. Saran will give his statement at the Çağlayan Courthouse today around 10:00 AM.

AKP member Şamil Tayyar had recently claimed in a program he attended on TGRT Haber that there was a more significant name in the investigation that would surprise the public.

Journalist Cem Küçük, known for his proximity to the government, made striking assessments regarding the course of the investigation.

Speaking on the Medya Kritik program, Cem Küçük said that one of the names mentioned was Sadettin Saran and stated, "One of the two big names is Sadettin Saran, and we will hear the other one soon."
