YENİ Party Deputy Group Chairman Gökhan Günaydın made a striking post on his social media account regarding the payments announced to be made to victims as part of the fund investigation.
“We will immediately make payments of up to 1 million TL to the fund victims” Criticizing this propaganda, Günaydın argued that the announced payment amounts fall far below the losses experienced by the victims.
“AN AVERAGE OF 125 THOUSAND TL PER PERSON”
Günaydın pointed out that if a total of 29.3 billion TL in interim payments is made to 235,705 investors in the 7 funds subject to extraordinary liquidation, the average payment per person would be approximately 125 thousand TL.
Stating that the notifications they received from the victims also confirmed this picture, Günaydın shared two examples.
Accordingly, Günaydın noted that a victim with a net investment of 12 million TL was paid only 150 thousand TL, and stated that the payment made to another investor with a loss of 9 million TL did not even reach 100 thousand TL.
“IT IS UNCLEAR HOW THE PAYMENT IS CALCULATED”
Stating that the payments made remain extremely low compared to the scale of the grievances, Günaydın argued that no information was provided to investors regarding how the payment amounts were calculated.
In his post, Günaydın emphasized that it is also unclear according to which criteria the payment was determined and whether further payments will be made to the victims in the upcoming process.
“STOP PROTECTING YOUR THIEVES”
Stating that the protection of those responsible must be abandoned in order to prevent fund grievances, Günaydın continued his criticism of the government with the following words:
“As long as brazen thieves are protected and the absurdity of considering the withholding tax on theft as state revenue is not abandoned, it is impossible to prevent grievances.
