On Thursday, August 13, an argument broke out between İrfan A. and his family in the Yalıköy neighborhood of Istanbul's Çatalca district for reasons yet to be determined. During the argument, when İrfan A.'s father fell ill, medical teams were notified.

Following these events, İrfan A. locked himself in his house. Upon notification, gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the area. It was alleged that after the gendarmerie teams reached the scene, İrfan A. opened fire on them.

4 DAYS OF PERSUASION EFFORTS

Following the development, security measures were increased in the area, and persuasion efforts were initiated to get İrfan A. to surrender. After approximately 4 days of efforts by the gendarmerie teams, the individual was persuaded to surrender.

It was learned that the processing of İrfan A., who was taken into custody by gendarmerie teams in the garden of his house on the morning of Sunday, August 16, is ongoing at the gendarmerie station.
