Individual wanted by Interpol captured in Nevşehir
One person with an active arrest warrant issued by the Interpol-Europol Department has been captured in Nevşehir.
According to the information obtained, police teams launched an operation to apprehend A.B., an individual who had an arrest warrant issued by the Interpol-Europol Department for the crime of 'drug trafficking' and who had been stripped of Turkish citizenship in 1999, following a tip-off that the individual was residing in the Ürgüp district of Nevşehir.
The individual, who was subject to an arrest and extradition order by German authorities for drug trafficking, was captured and taken into custody during an operation conducted at their residence.
Following processing at the Anti-Migrant Smuggling Branch Directorate, A.B. was handed over to the Removal Center for deportation procedures.
