Making a statement on his social media account, Minister Gürlek used the following expressions:

'The Republic of Türkiye is an independent and sovereign country with a deep-rooted state tradition, committed to the principle of a democratic state of law. The Turkish judiciary makes its decisions within the framework of the constitution, laws, and the judicial authority it holds on behalf of our nation.

Distorting ongoing judicial processes in Türkiye and conducting a political campaign through files that are still under prosecution; making baseless accusations against the Turkish judiciary and myself is an attitude that can only be explained by ideological prejudices.

This politically motivated approach, fueled by certain circles in the European Parliament, undermines the credibility of the institutions these individuals represent. For us, what is essential is the conscience of our Noble Nation and the decisions of independent Turkish courts.

Türkiye continues its fight against terrorism, organized crime syndicates, corruption, and all forms of lawlessness with determination. This struggle cannot be interrupted by political pressure campaigns conducted from either inside or outside.

Let no one fall under the delusion that they can place the judiciary of the Republic of Türkiye under pressure or tutelage. We will continue to perform our duty for the peace of our nation, the survival of our state, and the protection of our legal order.'
