İYİ Party's Zorlu submits parliamentary question on the question everyone is asking: 'What are the monthly expenses?'
İYİ Party Ankara Deputy and member of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) Foreign Affairs Committee, Kürşad Zorlu, has submitted a parliamentary question to be answered by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz and Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek regarding the Public Savings and Efficiency Package announced today.
In the parliamentary question he submitted to the Speaker of the TBMM, Zorlu emphasized that while the savings measures package announced by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance may appear positive in intent, it lacks some important information and details.
In the parliamentary question he shared on his social media account, Zorlu stated, "Most importantly, the relationship between the implementation and the targets has not been explained to the public. Furthermore, in such a period, no savings announcement has been made regarding the appropriations of the Presidency and other ministries, particularly their representation expenses."
In his parliamentary question, Kürşad Zorlu requested that the following questions be answered by Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek and Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz:

"What is the monetary value planned to be saved on an annual basis and at the end of 3 years within the scope of the announced savings measures?
What are the monthly expenses of the Presidential complex? Is it planned to include these expenses within the scope of the savings measures?
What is the number of vehicles used by the public sector through leasing? What is their monthly burden on the public?
What is the monthly cost paid for shuttle services in the public sector?
What are the expenses paid for buildings and residences used by the public sector through leasing?
Excluding earthquake risk, how many service buildings are currently under construction? How much funding has been spent on these buildings so far?
How many personnel in the public sector have completed their retirement eligibility?"
