İYİ Party Leader Müsavat Dervişoğlu's 'straight pin' reaction to Erdoğan: 'The fabric of the shirt you took off'

An official opening ceremony was held for the BMC Ankara Tank and New Generation Armored Vehicles Production Facility, established in Ankara's Kahramankazan district. AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan also attended the ceremony.

In his speech, where he claimed that not even a straight pin was produced 25 years ago, Erdoğan said the following:

"I want to take you back 20, 25 years. Could we produce a single straight pin in our country? A straight pin. I am not talking about weapons. No. But now, thank God, there is a Turkey that produces its own weapons. We couldn't even produce 20 percent in the defense industry, but now we have reached 80 percent. Unmanned aerial vehicles... Where? Did we have such an opportunity? No. But now there is a Turkey that produces unmanned aerial vehicles, produces armed unmanned aerial vehicles, and produces its Akıncı."

İYİ PARTY LEADER DEVRİŞOĞLU CRITICIZED

Criticizing these remarks by AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan through a social media post, İYİ Party Leader Müsavat Dervişoğlu stated the following:

"Someone tell President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan;

Turkey's first straight pin factory was established in 1951.

That is, 74 years ago,

That is, when the AK Party did not exist,

That is, when the fabric of the 'SHIRT YOU TOOK OFF' had not even been woven yet,

That is, it was established when our Republic was only 28 years old.

Not just that;

An aircraft factory, sugar factories, textile factories, iron and steel factories, shipyards, a paper factory, a cement factory, monopoly factories, power plants, dams, a weapons factory, and a chlorine factory were all established within the first 15 years of our Republic, which was in the midst of scarcity.

I am not even including the Republican factories and institutions you sold during your term in power.

The Republic achieved in times of scarcity what you could not achieve in times of abundance.

That is, we were not living in caves before the AK Party.

And that is exactly what the miracle of the Republic is.
