Minister Mustafa Çiftçi: If a citizen cannot sleep in peace, the Minister of Interior will not sleep either

In statements made to journalist Sinan Burhan, Minister of Interior Mustafa Çiftçi delivered messages regarding security, public order, migration, and the fight against criminal organizations.

Minister Çiftçi sent a message that operations against illegal betting, gambling, and criminal organizations will continue, stating, "If a citizen in this country cannot sleep in peace, the Minister of Interior will not sleep either. If a mother or father is worried when their child goes out on the street, Mustafa Çiftçi will also be worried." Referring to the brawl that broke out during the oath-taking ceremony in Parliament, Çiftçi said, "The attitude displayed and the actions taken in Parliament do not befit a Parliament that waged the War of Independence."

According to a post shared by Burhan on his social media account X, Minister Çiftçi said, "If a citizen in this country cannot sleep in peace, the Minister of Interior will not sleep either." Çiftçi added, "If a mother or father is worried when their child goes out on the street, Mustafa Çiftçi will also be worried."

"THEY WILL NOT BE GIVEN ANY BREATHING ROOM"

Stating that illegal betting and gambling threaten the family structure, Minister Çiftçi said, "We will come down hard on the gangs that destroy family homes." Noting that operations against criminal organizations and organized networks will continue, Çiftçi said, "These structures will never be given any breathing room."

Çiftçi also gave the message, "Decisive steps will be taken regarding irregular and illegal migration. Operations against human traffickers and migration barons will be increased." 

"IT IS A PARLIAMENT THAT WAGED THE WAR OF INDEPENDENCE"

Referring to the brawl that occurred during the oath-taking ceremony in Parliament, Minister Çiftçi said, "The Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) is the parliament of our nation; it is a parliament that waged the War of Independence. It is a parliament where democracy lives. The attitude displayed and the actions taken in Parliament do not befit a Parliament that waged the War of Independence."
