New details regarding the statements of suspects in the investigation into the AHBAP Association, founded by Haluk Levent, have come to light. In the declarations reflected in the investigation file, it was alleged that food parcels and containers were delivered to the association and that some individuals also lent money to the association.
According to the information in the file, the suspects gave statements under the accusations of "Abuse of Trust Due to Service," "Being a Member of an Organization Established for the Purpose of Committing Crimes," and "Laundering Assets Derived from Crime." The suspects denied the allegations of fictitious trade and argued that the transactions were based on the actual delivery of goods and services.
According to the report by Sabah, Yusuf Esat Erişgen, who gave a statement in the investigation, stated that he delivered approximately 80 to 100 thousand food parcels to the AHBAP Association between 2021 and 2022. Erişgen also explained that he lent money to the association in installments, saying, "I lent a total of 8 to 10 million liras to the association in installments. However, I have not been able to get back approximately 1.5 million liras of this money for 4 years."

Kamil Zeytinci and Mehmet Zeytinci, who were mentioned in the file, also stated that they delivered 1,100 containers to the association during the earthquake period. The Zeytinci brothers noted that they lent approximately 4 million liras upon Haluk Levent's request, that they collected this money 40 days later, and that the transactions were invoiced.
It was also reported that suspect Selami Demir said he gave 1.5 million liras upon a request for a loan after making a donation of 40 thousand liras in 2022. It was stated that the declarations in the statements are being evaluated within the scope of the investigation.
ONE PERSON RELEASED UNDER JUDICIAL CONTROL
On the other hand, out of 10 objections made against detention, a release decision was issued only for Timur Özdemir. Examining the e-invoices, bank receipts, shipping documents, and WhatsApp correspondence submitted by Özdemir, the court concluded that the 3.7 million lira stationery and toy trade was real.
Özdemir, who was stated to have a fixed residence, was released with a travel ban. It was decided that the detention of the other 9 suspects would continue.
