Operation against criminal organization defrauding retirees with loan promises
In a simultaneous operation conducted by the Manisa Provincial Police Department's Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch, coordinated by the Salihli Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, across 6 provinces centered in the Salihli district of Manisa, 14 people who defrauded retirees with promises of loans were detained, and 8 of them were arrested by the court.
The Manisa Provincial Police Department Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch, under the coordination of the Salihli Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, conducted a simultaneous operation against usury and qualified fraud in 6 provinces, centered in the Salihli district of Manisa, including Izmir, Balikesir, Aydin, Sakarya, and Antalya.
14 suspects identified as engaging in usury and qualified fraud by promising loans to retirees were apprehended and taken into custody. While 6 of the suspects were released under judicial control, 8 individuals, including the organization leader A.K. (35), organization managers S.Z. (34) and S.S. (31), and organization members A.K. (42), A.Ç. (36), B.E. (64), M.K. (52), and U.Y. (47), were arrested and sent to prison.
