Passenger bus overturns in Manisa! Many people injured

According to the information obtained, a passenger bus belonging to an intercity transport company lost control for an as-yet-undetermined reason around 05:30 in the morning near the Medar junction on the Akhisar ring road, after the driver lost steering control, and overturned into the ditch on the right side of the road.

Following the accident, numerous medical and police teams were dispatched to the scene upon reports from citizens in the area. The injured, who received their initial interventions at the scene by 112 Emergency Service teams, were taken to nearby hospitals by ambulance. It was learned that the injured are not in life-threatening condition.

Police teams, who took security measures at the scene of the accident, ensured that traffic flowed in a controlled manner. The bus involved in the accident was removed from where it was with the help of a crane. The bus driver was taken to the police station to have his statement taken.

While it is suspected that the accident occurred due to the road being slippery in the morning hours, a comprehensive investigation into the incident has been launched.
