The leaders discussed Turkey-US bilateral relations as well as regional and global developments.
President Erdoğan expressed his belief that cooperation between Turkey and the US will continue to increase and stated that they will work to gain momentum in relations in the coming period.
Our President stated that the tension between Iran and the US should end and that problems should be resolved through diplomacy, emphasizing that Turkey will continue to make efforts for peace.
President Erdoğan stated that he hopes the increasing diplomatic efforts to end the Ukraine-Russia war will yield positive results, that we will continue to contribute to efforts in this regard, and that it is important to increase contacts with both Ukraine and Russia.
During the meeting, our President also thanked US President Trump for his support for the Organization of Turkic States Summit.
