Russian passenger plane makes emergency landing in Egypt

An Airbus A-321 passenger plane belonging to the Russian airline Ural Airlines experienced an engine failure shortly after departing from Sharm El-Sheikh for Yekaterinburg.

According to a statement from the Egyptian Ministry of Civil Aviation, the pilot reported a technical issue just 10 minutes after takeoff and requested an emergency landing.

PLANE EVACUATED

The aircraft landed safely at Sharm El-Sheikh Airport at 16:55 local time. All passengers were transferred to the international terminal without incident. Authorities announced that the technical team has begun work to identify the fault and carry out repairs.

NO LOSS OF LIFE IN THE INCIDENT

The Ministry of Civil Aviation stated that the safety of the passengers was ensured thanks to a rapid response, emphasizing that there were no injuries or loss of life in the incident.
