Bombshell claim from Şamil Tayyar regarding the absolute nullity lawsuit! 'Some names in the CHP leadership...'
According to the claim by former AKP deputy Şamil Tayyar, the appellate court decision in the "absolute nullity" lawsuit concerning the CHP's 38th Ordinary Congress has been unexpectedly postponed. It is suggested that the decision is not expected to be issued in May and that the controversy will continue for at least another month.
In the lawsuit filed for the annulment of the Republican People's Party's (CHP) 38th Ordinary Congress, where Özgür Özel was elected chairman, the court of first instance had rejected the application, and the file was sent for appellate review.
While it was being discussed in political circles in the capital that the appellate decision on the file, known by the term "absolute nullity," could be issued in May, a notable assessment came from former AKP deputy Şamil Tayyar.
In a statement he made on social media, Tayyar reported that the appellate court, as part of its review, had requested files from local courts in Istanbul and Ankara regarding allegations that the will of the delegates was compromised at the 38th congress. Stating that after the examination of all documents, the decision was expected to be uploaded to the UYAP system as "absolute nullity" shortly, Tayyar noted that the process was unexpectedly postponed. Emphasizing that it is unlikely for the decision to be issued within May, Tayyar said that the discussions will remain on the agenda for at least another month.
'BAHÇELİ IS AGAINST THE NULLITY DECISION'
Tayyar also claimed that some Justice and Development Party (AKP) officials and Devlet Bahçeli are not in favor of an "absolute nullity" decision and used the following expressions:
"Let me share the latest developments regarding the 'absolute nullity' lawsuit in the CHP.
As you know, in the file at the appellate court, the local court had rejected the request for absolute nullity without entering into the merits.
The appellate court, while evaluating the appeal request, requested files from local courts in Istanbul and Ankara regarding the allegation that the delegate will was compromised at the 38th congress where Özgür Özel was elected chairman.
The appellate court, having evaluated all the evidence, was expected to upload its decision as 'absolute nullity' to UYAP tomorrow.
It was unexpectedly postponed.
It is not considered likely that the decision will be issued within May.
It seems that the discussion on this matter will continue for at least another month.
Furthermore, it is known that some authorized names in the AK Party and MHP leader Bahçeli are against the 'absolute nullity' decision.
There are also rumors that wise figures who believe that internal disputes should not be fueled before the outcome of the Iran war is clear are shuttling between politics and the judiciary.
The rumor that some names in the CHP leadership are also taking messages of 'cooperation' to the People's Alliance to prevent the decision from being issued is another topic of discussion in the corridors.
These claims aside, the appellate court is not expected to make a decision within May."
