Scandalous remarks from Yüksel Arslan, known for his closeness to Mansur Yavaş: 'They are called a "Project Child," not a "Soldier of Mustafa Kemal"'
Ankara MP Yüksel Arslan drew attention with his statements on social media. Arslan stated, "Those whose only concern is their own career and following the path drawn for them are called a 'Project Child,' not a 'Soldier of Mustafa Kemal'." ABB Mayor Mansur Yavaş responded to Arslan's remarks, saying, "I would like it to be known that I do not approve of this text. My advice to him is to delete this tweet."
Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) Mayor Mansur Yavaş’s close associate and former chief of staff, Ankara MP Yüksel Arslan, drew attention with a post he shared on social media.
Arslan's words, "Those whose only concern is their own career and following the path drawn for them are called a 'Project Child,' not a 'Soldier of Mustafa Kemal'," were interpreted as targeting Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu.
Joining the debate regarding the slogan "We are the soldiers of Mustafa Kemal," which has been on the agenda in recent days, Arslan said, "Those who are hand-in-hand with the enemies of the founding will and the founding principles set forth by Atatürk cannot be a 'Soldier of Mustafa Kemal'."
In the continuation of his post, Arslan wrote the following:
'THEY ARE CALLED A "PROJECT CHILD," NOT A "SOLDIER OF MUSTAFA KEMAL"'
It is as clear as day that those who appear in the same frame as terrorist organizations, ethnic separatists, and traitors to the homeland are betraying the cherished memory and struggle of Atatürk. If the phrase "We are the soldiers of Mustafa Kemal" is on the tongues of responsible and believing people, it becomes a remedy for the country's problems. If it comes from the mouths of political counterfeiters and identityless people whose allegiance to any flag is unclear, it is an attempt to cover up dirty intentions.
Those who collaborate to ensure that attacks on the foundation of our state and the existence of our nation reach their goal are not 'Soldiers of Mustafa Kemal,' but his enemies. Those who knock on doors in European capitals to climb career ladders cannot look at Atatürk, who recognized no will other than the might and power of the Turk, through our eyes.
Those whose only concern is their own career and following the path drawn for them are called a 'Project Child,' not a 'Soldier of Mustafa Kemal'."
'MY ADVICE IS TO DELETE THIS TWEET'
Mansur Yavaş responded to the post by independent Ankara MP Yüksel Arslan, who resigned from the İYİ Party.
Mansur Yavaş's post is as follows:
To the attention of the public: I would like it to be known that I do not approve of these statements and the text published by independent MP Mr. Arslan. Furthermore, it should be well known that such statements do not fit my political style. My advice to him is to delete this tweet.
