She went missing 2 days ago in Diyarbakır... Still no word from 8-year-old Narin
Search efforts are ongoing for 8-year-old Narin Güran, who went missing in the Bağlar district of Diyarbakır after leaving her Quran course at noon two days ago. Narin's mother appealed to everyone, saying, "For the sake of God, if anyone has seen, heard, or knows anything about my daughter, please let us know. May God be pleased with everyone."
Search efforts continue for the 8-year-old girl who went missing in the central Bağlar district of Diyarbakır.
The search, initiated by 112 Emergency Health, Gendarmerie Search and Rescue (JAK), AFAD, and Dicle University Search and Rescue (DÜAK) teams after her family reported that they had not heard from Narin Güran (8) around 15:00 the day before yesterday in the rural Tavşantepe neighborhood, is ongoing.
As part of the operation, gendarmerie teams conducted a search from a helicopter using thermal cameras.
Divers from AFAD are searching the irrigation canal, while other teams are conducting searches in the surrounding area of the village and in the fields.
Father Arif and mother Yüksel Güran are waiting for good news about their daughter.
Father Arif Güran stated that teams and citizens are working intensively to find his daughter.
A SLIPPER WAS FOUND BUT DID NOT MATCH NARIN
Thanking everyone who has put effort into finding his daughter, Güran said:
"We have not heard from my daughter since Wednesday.
A search was conducted within a 5-kilometer radius of the village. Our Governor sent a helicopter, and searches were carried out in the corn and cotton fields; may God be pleased with him.
They searched a 5-kilometer radius around the village, but there is no sign of her. Only a slipper was found at the entrance of the village yesterday; it is the same type of slipper, but we cannot say it is my daughter's."
Noting that his daughter was heading home after leaving the Quran course on the day she went missing, Güran stated that she was seen on the school's security camera heading toward home.
'FOR THE SAKE OF GOD, IF ANYONE HAS SEEN MY DAUGHTER, PLEASE LET US KNOW'
Güran said, "For the sake of God, if anyone has seen, heard, or knows anything about my daughter, please let us know. My daughter is a smart girl; she would not go anywhere without permission. May God be pleased with everyone, and may we never be without the state. The state is currently doing more than its best. They are providing support and help like a father, a relative, or an older brother."
The tearful mother, Yüksel Güran, expressed her wish for her daughter to be found as soon as possible. Mother Güran continued:
"My heart is torn to pieces. We are devastated. I beg all of Turkey to support us, find my daughter. A slipper was found, but it is not my daughter's. Her shoe size is 31, but the slipper found was small. It is enough for me if my Narin is found; I do not want anything else. My Narin was the only daughter in the house. I took care of a disabled daughter for 7 years, and then she passed away."
