Melis İşiten, who was released after being detained as part of a drug investigation targeting celebrities, made a statement on her social media account.
İşiten stated that she was taken from the home where she lives with her daughter in the early hours of the morning and that she handed over her phone and passwords to law enforcement officers. Explaining that she provided the requested tests at the Council of Forensic Medicine following her statement, İşiten noted that she was released without being referred to court.
Thanking the gendarmerie teams who were on duty throughout the day, İşiten stated that she returned to her home to be with her daughter in the evening hours.
In her statement, İşiten also included the words, "I would like to thank the lawyers who were by our family's side throughout the day and my friends who tried to reach me."
