Statement from Minister Göktaş ahead of the Narin Güran murder trial

The investigation into the murder of Narin Güran, who was made to appear as if she had gone missing on August 21 in the Tavşantepe neighborhood of Diyarbakır's Bağlar district and whose lifeless body was found 19 days later, continues.

The first hearing of the case, in which 12 people, including members of Narin's family, are being held in custody, will be held on November 7 at the Diyarbakır 8th High Criminal Court.

Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş made statements regarding the Narin Güran murder trial, which has become a national issue in Turkey.

Speaking to A Haber, Minister Göktaş stated that ministry lawyers will intervene in the Narin Güran case on November 7.

Göktaş said the following:

"Narin was all of our child. Our psychosocial support teams went to the village at the very first moment. We saw fear and anxiety in her cousins. We provided psychosocial support to the children at Narin's school. Narin's case is Turkey's case. On November 7, ministry lawyers will intervene in the process."
