Suspect who assaulted a woman and her dog in Polatlı has been detained

In an incident that occurred yesterday evening in the Cumhuriyet neighborhood of Ankara's Polatlı district, an individual identified as A.A. stopped his vehicle next to H.N.K., who was walking her dog on the street. The attacker, who got out of the car, assaulted the woman and tried to force her into the vehicle. When the dog, attempting to protect its owner, tried to intervene, A.A. repeatedly kicked and assaulted both the woman and the dog.

Following an investigation into the incident, a statement was released by the Ankara Governor's Office. The Governor's Office announced that the attacker has been taken into custody.

The statement from the Ankara Governor's Office included the following:

"Upon receiving a report regarding the assault of a woman and her dog in the Cumhuriyet neighborhood of our province's Polatlı district yesterday at approximately 22:40, an investigation was immediately launched. Our citizen who was assaulted was transported to the hospital by 112 Emergency Health Teams, and initial examinations revealed that the individual is not in life-threatening condition. The suspect identified as the perpetrator of the incident was apprehended in a short time; it was determined that the suspect and the victim were acquaintances and were under the influence of alcohol according to measurements taken. The suspect has been detained and referred to judicial authorities, and the investigation into the matter is ongoing."
