Suspect who killed three people in Adana sent to prison
Three people lost their lives in an armed attack in Adana. The suspect of the incident was apprehended and arrested by the court.
A tragic incident occurred last night in the Rüzgarlı Tepe area of Kabasakal Neighborhood in the central Çukurova district. According to allegations, Osman A. (28) argued with Semra Yılmaz (44), took her from her home, and brought her to the area. As the argument escalated, Osman A. opened fire on Semra Yılmaz with a handgun he was carrying. It was stated that following the incident, he also shot Ali Can Demir (25) and Sinan İlbey, who were in the car.
Upon the notification of neighborhood residents who heard the gunshots, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Investigations confirmed that all three individuals had lost their lives. The bodies of the deceased were transported to the Adana Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for autopsy procedures. Following the autopsies, the bodies were delivered to their families.
Osman A., who fled after the incident, was caught at the address where he was hiding in the central Yüreğir district. The handgun he used in the incident was also seized along with the suspect. After his interrogation at the police station, the suspect was taken to the forensic medicine unit, where he responded to questions from members of the press by saying, "I am regretful."
Having completed his procedures, Osman A. was referred to the courthouse, where he was arrested by the duty judge and sent to prison.
