The color of the sea in the Dardanelles has changed

Following the 'Yellow code' warning issued for Çanakkale by the General Directorate of Meteorology yesterday, heavy rainfall began to affect the city. Rainwater carried alluvium from the Sarıçay stream and poured into the sea.

After the rainfall, the alluvium carried by the Sarıçay stream turned the color of the sea brown on the Anatolian side of the Dardanelles. The change in the color of the water due to the downpour drew attention.
