Timur Soykan and Fatih Altaylı summoned to testify
Following the "paid extra" scandal within the CHP, journalists Timur Soykan and Fatih Altaylı have been summoned to testify.
The Republican People's Party (CHP) had held a member participation ceremony at the Rauf Denktaş Cultural Center in Sarıyer.
Gürsel Tekin, who was appointed as a trustee to the CHP İstanbul Provincial Presidency, had filed a criminal complaint following reports that extras were brought in for a fee through casting agencies for the member participation meeting attended by Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu.
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office had also launched an investigation into the allegations that individuals from a casting agency were brought to the ceremony.
Journalists Timur Soykan and Fatih Altaylı have been summoned to testify at the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan as part of the investigation.
