Traffic dispute in Şişli turns into a knife fight

In Istanbul's Şişli district, a verbal argument broke out between 29-year-old minibus driver Sertaç K. and 23-year-old motorcyclist Servan E. over a right-of-way issue in traffic. The argument quickly escalated into a physical fight when the minibus driver's 38-year-old brother, Yasin K., arrived at the scene.

During the scuffle, Yasin K. stabbed the motorcyclist, Servan E., three times in the left abdomen and under the armpit. Emergency medical teams, responding to reports from bystanders, provided initial treatment at the scene before transporting the injured Servan E. to a private hospital. It was reported that Servan E., who was later transferred to Okmeydanı Prof. Dr. Cemil Taşcıoğlu City Hospital, is not in life-threatening condition.

Police teams called to the scene detained both Yasin K., who was involved in the stabbing, and the minibus driver, Sertaç K. The police also seized the approximately 10-centimeter-long knife used in the incident.

Following his processing at the police station, Yasin K. was brought to court and arrested on charges of "intentional injury," while Sertaç K. was released under judicial control conditions.

The fight and the moment of the attack were recorded by security cameras near the scene and a mobile phone camera. The footage clearly shows the parties attacking each other and the motorcyclist being stabbed. According to information obtained during the police investigation, it was learned that Yasin K. had one prior criminal record, while Servan E. had eight.
