The trial of 9 defendants regarding the Maydonoz Döner chain, for which a trustee was appointed on allegations of providing financing to FETÖ, has been adjourned.
The hearing of the case in which 9 defendants are being tried regarding the Maydonoz Döner chain, for which a trustee was appointed on allegations of providing financing to FETÖ, has been adjourned to January 5, 2027.
The hearing held at the Ankara 2nd High Criminal Court was attended by the defendant Tahsin Özbay, who is being tried without arrest, and the defense attorneys. The presiding judge stated that the witness scheduled to be heard in this session was not present in court.
Taking the floor during the hearing, defendant Tahsin Özbay stated that he only had a commercial relationship with the witness in question, saying, "I only have a commercial relationship with the witness. I have no other connection."
The defense attorneys requested the removal of the judicial control measures applied to their clients.
The court panel decided that the witness who needs to be heard should be made available at the next session. The case was adjourned to January 5, 2027.
