Ümit Özdağ calls on CHP for Mansur Yavaş! He slams Davutoğlu and Babacan

Zafer Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ answered questions from İlker Karagöz on a live broadcast on NOW TV.

Speaking about his party's roadmap for the presidential elections, Özdağ gave a notable response to the question, "Ekrem İmamoğlu is in prison. Now, would you support Mansur Yavaş if he were the candidate?"

"WE WOULD SUPPORT MANSUR YAVAŞ IF HE IS NOMINATED"

Stating, "First, Mr. Mansur needs to be nominated by his party," Özdağ added, "I think he will be nominated. Reason and logic dictate that. If such a scenario occurs, we could provide support in line with the general consensus and the demands of our base."

"DAVUTOĞLU AND BABACAN ARE DYING TO RETURN TO THE AKP"

Özdağ reacted to the Gelecek and DEVA leaders who were seen side-by-side with AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the opening of the Turkish Grand National Assembly.

Claiming that Ahmet Davutoğlu and Ali Babacan are "dying" to return to the AKP, Özdağ said, "They are politically non-existent; they entered Parliament with the votes given by sincere CHP voters. Now, they are betraying those votes and yearning for the AK Party. One should feel a little shame."

COMMENTARY ON THE ESPIONAGE INVESTIGATION

Özdağ also said the following regarding the espionage investigation in which İmamoğlu was arrested:

"Ekrem İmamoğlu is someone who is followed even by MOBESE cameras. However, the espionage investigation did not start with evidence obtained, but with a tip-off to 112 by Hüseyin Gün's stepbrother. I am not convinced."

Speaking about his own arrest and the Aziz İhsan Aktaş indictment, Özdağ expressed his reaction with the words, "Aziz İhsan Aktaş is being tried for 704 years. He is walking around outside, being tried without arrest. I was facing 7 years and was tried while under arrest. This is enemy criminal law."
