An investigation was launched into two individuals identified as selling drugs in Istanbul's luxury neighborhoods. During the operation, the two suspects were caught red-handed by the police. The identity of one of the suspects came as a surprise. It was determined that U.G., who turned out to be a lawyer, acted under the assumption that he could pass through police checkpoints without being searched by using his professional ID.

The Istanbul Police Department's Narcotics Crimes Investigation Branch received information that drug sales were taking place in certain neighborhoods of the Beyoğlu and Beşiktaş districts.
TURNED OUT TO BE A LAWYER
During the investigation, it was determined that an individual named U.G. was selling drugs, particularly in neighborhoods known for being upscale and popular with celebrities, such as Cihangir, Beyoğlu, and Nişantaşı. The identity of U.G., who was placed under surveillance, came as a shock. It was determined that U.G. was a lawyer, and his connections began to be investigated.
CAUGHT RED-HANDED
In the operation, U.G. and an individual named S.A., who was alleged to be acting in collusion with him, were caught red-handed. In searches conducted on the suspects, who were found with 115 grams of drugs on their persons, as well as in their vehicles and homes, a total of 7 grams of cocaine in ready-to-sell packages known as "cartridges," 14 kilograms and 690 grams of skunk, and precision scales and a vacuum machine used for packaging and preparing these substances for sale were seized.
USES HIS ID
According to allegations, it was learned that the arrested lawyer U.G. acted with the belief that he could easily pass through police checkpoints and inspections without being searched by using his lawyer ID. Following the investigation, the lawyer U.G. and the individual named S.A. were referred to judicial authorities on charges of "Manufacturing and Trafficking of Drugs or Stimulants" and were arrested and sent to prison.
