The Rebirth Party (YDP) in the TRNC convened its Central Executive Board (MYK) and Party Assembly to evaluate the political agenda following the presidential elections held in the country on October 19.

Following the meeting, the topics discussed were shared with the public under the signature of YDP Secretary General Erşah Sabit Yılmaz.

The statement expressed that the presidential elections were concluded in an extremely mature and democratic environment. It was noted that the YDP congratulated TRNC President Tufan Erhürman on his success and his inclusive stance, stating, "We expect these statements to be put into practice as well."

The party also stated that Erhürman's remarks regarding acting in coordination with Turkey on the Cyprus issue were received with satisfaction.

Drawing attention to the necessity of early elections by taking into account the political landscape formed after the election results, the statement said, "It is essential for all three ruling parties, especially our own, to read this message well and go to early elections at the most appropriate date. The YDP will do what is necessary in this regard."
