Central Bank reserves decline after 5 weeks

The gross reserves of the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (TCMB) fell to 169 billion dollars in the week of August 1, following a four-week increase.

Central Bank reserves decline after 5 weeks

According to data released by the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (TCMB), the bank's gross reserves fell from 171.7 billion dollars to 169 billion dollars in the week of August 1. This decline was recorded for the first time after the last four weeks.

Additionally, there was a decrease in net reserves. In the week of August 1, net reserves were determined to be 63.2 billion dollars. The previous week, this figure was 64.5 billion dollars. Net reserves excluding swap transactions fell from 46.7 billion dollars to 45.6 billion dollars.
